Make “Satisfied By” list in Hold Request screen sortable and filterable
Product Area: LEAP – Hold Request Screen
Description:
On the Hold Request screen, the “Satisfied By” tab displays a list of item barcodes and branches that could satisfy a hold. Currently, this list cannot be sorted or filtered, unlike many other list views in LEAP.
When a title has a large number of copies, the list becomes difficult to review and troubleshoot. Staff must manually scan through all rows to determine which items are Held, Out, or otherwise unavailable, and to identify where those items are located.
Requested Enhancement:
Enable the same sorting and filtering functionality used in other LEAP lists for the “Satisfied By” table. Specifically:
• Allow column sorting (ascending/descending) on:
• Item Barcode
• Status
• Branch
Add filtering so staff can quickly narrow results by:
• Status (e.g., Held, Out, Available)
• Branch
• Maintain consistent behavior with other LEAP list interfaces.
Example Use Case:
For high-demand titles with many copies, staff troubleshooting a hold need to quickly identify:
• Which items are currently held
• Which copies are checked out
• Which branches hold the items
Without sorting/filtering, this requires manually scanning a long list, which is time-consuming and prone to error.
Benefits:
• Faster troubleshooting of hold fulfillment issues
• Improved usability and consistency with other LEAP lists
• Reduced staff time spent manually reviewing large copy lists
Additional Context:
In systems with many copies of a title, the current static list makes it difficult to quickly identify patterns or locate relevant items.
