Displaying movie info
Movies need to have clearer display of the actors, director, etc. when you go into the item record. Some movies have been remade and I currently have a lot of trouble locating the right movie for my patron when they tell me the year it was made and I can't even find that in the item record because it only tells me when that disc edition was made not when the movie itself was first made. I'll also get patrons who give me a title where there are several movies with that title and I currently can't even find a list of actors to try and find the right movie. I shouldn't have to go back to the old catalog for this because finding movies is pretty much impossible if I don't know exactly what the patron is asking for to begin with.

Planned for H2 2025

I am completely discouraged to find out that Vega doesn’t reflect back anything at all for uniform titles. I was just working with a library where a patron was trying to locate the film Annie “from the 1980’s with Carol Burnett and Bernadette Peters”.
In Vega Discover:
* Searching for “Annie motion picture 1982” produced no results
* Faceting a search for Annie by DVD, I found 6 results. From these results, I could see cover images, which is somewhat helpful, but the published dates all display in the 2000’s (as is the way of cataloging motion pictures...but not the release date of the film)
* Searching “Annie Carol Burnett” produced better results, but still unable to confirm that this was a film with a release date in the 1980s.
Very difficult for patron's to navigate.
