Disable No Preference Selected in Patron's Setting
When staff members create a patron account in Polaris, our default notification preference is email. We'd like the ability to disable or hide the "No preference selected" option from Discover so patrons are forced to select one of our supported notification methods.

We have traditionally allowed patrons to switch between email, phone, and text message for notifications. Unless we have the ability to remove "no preference selected," we will likely have to turn this feature off. Patrons don't understand what that option really means and then get upset about not being notified about their holds. It creates a lot of frustration for patrons and stress for staff. However, that will almost certainly be the case for turning off the ability to change notification options between email/text/phone.
If for some reason it's not feasible to do this, "no preference selected" should at least be relabeled something descriptive like "turn off all notifications" so that patrons understand the option they are choosing.

Adding to this! We have the ability for patrons to edit this turned off, but it still says No Preference Selected. I'm okay with a preference being listed there, but it shouldn't say No Preference when there is clearly a preference selected in the patron account in the ILS.
