Allow Vega Showcases Created From Saved Search to Appear on Record Pages
Reopening an idea that was closed for lack of activity, but is still important to us:
Currently, only Vega showcases that are created from a set of bookmarks can be displayed on Record Pages, which is NOT an option for showcases from saved searches. In some cases, we prefer using saved searches vs. bookmarks, as they are easier to maintain. We still want to see those showcases show up on record pages. The documentation (https://documentation.iii.com/vega/admin/admin/Create_Showcase.htm) doesn't call out this limitation in the "To create a showcase from a saved search" section. We found out the hard way, after creating saved searches/showcases, had to recreate as bookmarks (and now maintain).

In our case, most, if not all of our showcases based on saved searches are really workarounds for patrons who don't think to filter their searches (newly added items, all juvenile graphic fiction/nonfiction, etc.). Since in our case that is overly broad - and other related content should be coming from Syndetics, like Series, other titles by the author, etc. - I guess as long as it can fall below any other related showcases for that title (Best of, etc.) or we could determine the priority. It definitely should be called out in the documentation that just because it's a showcase, it may not show up on the record pages.
