    We're also running into this. Like Eleanor said, there are already separate permissions for viewing vs modifying authority records, but Polaris is now displaying an override block to patrons who have the view permission. This seemed to pop up with 7.3/7.4, when the ability to modify authority records was moved to Leap. I also agree with Eleanor that this issue seems more like a bug to me, since staff with the view permission were previously able to view authority records with no issue.

    It would also be helpful if there was a renewal function/button that was logged as a transaction by Polaris. We currently have a workaround to estimate how many cards are renewed in a month, but having a transaction to track would be more accurate.
