I recommend removing the option to add additional email addresses in Vega to ensure reliable communication. Adding additional email addresses can cause issues, as the system can only send notices to one email address. Until Vega can support sending notices to multiple addresses, restricting the addition of email addresses will help maintain clear and effective communication and avoid confusion.

It is frustrating for patrons to choose from URLs that need clear identification of the connected library. Displaying the notes rather than the links for this field allows patrons to access materials belonging to their library rather than clicking and hoping they have access.
This is crucial in a consortium where a bib could have multiple links. No patron will click numerous links to see if they can access something.Dave Jones supported this idea ·

As a library, currently replacing our self-checkout and circulation PCs, I can see how the additional fields can greatly assist the ILS administrators in updating the RFID tables for us in a timely manner!

I recommended enabling item-level requests within Vega to enhance user experience. Vega's restricting item-level requests where a location that does not ILL an item does not facilitate lending and diminishes the user experience.
By implementing changes at the Consortium level, Vega can streamline this process, alleviating the burden on patrons.

Expanding online payment options in Vega Program would greatly enhance the patron experience by offering greater flexibility and convenience. Currently, PayPal is the only option, which limits accessibility. Adding widely used services like Square and Stripe would not only meet the diverse preferences of our patrons but also streamline transactions.
This improvement aligns with the evolving expectations of today’s library users and would be a valuable enhancement to Vega Discover.
