Display Note for 856 links instead of full link

The current URLs are confusing for our patrons across 66 libraries...if anything, it deters them from using those links. Make it easier for our users!

The current display is unclear – this creates a barrier to access for patrons wishing to use our resources through the Discover catalog.

URL links are not patron friendly. It is very confusing as to how to connect to a patron's particular library which may be just enough to scare off patrons from using Vega.
-
Dave Jones commented
It is frustrating for patrons to choose from URLs that need clear identification of the connected library. Displaying the notes rather than the links for this field allows patrons to access materials belonging to their library rather than clicking and hoping they have access.
This is crucial in a consortium where a bib could have multiple links. No patron will click numerous links to see if they can access something. -

We are a small library in a consortia, and our library does not display in the facets. Libraries should be listed alphabetically rather than by record count for consistency and so that smaller libraries are not buried. Also, current URLs are incomplete and unclear for patrons. It is not easy for them to get to their libraries resources.

URL displayed can look sloppy and confusing to patrons. A note could direct patrons to the appropriate resource in a much more streamlined, concise way, making the catalog records more user-friendly.

My library collection is smaller than some and is not showing in the facet list.

We are a large consortia and our locations should be listed in alphabetical order to provide consistency

This UI is too complex for our patrons to navigate. Greater clarity is needed when linking patrons to digital items connected to their library.

The URL display is unclear to the point of causing patron confusion. This creates a roadblock for patrons wishing to access our resources through the catalog

The URLs have caused so much internal confusion. The URL solution is not a solution as patrons can't easily find local digital materials, which vary library to library in our consortia. We need clearly labeled notes, denoting what library each link is for and clearly showing that there are multiple links.

URL links are not patron friendly, lacking clear identification of the connected library.

We are a large consortia and our locations should be listed in alphabetical order to provide consistency and make it easier for all the communities to find items in their location.

Alexis Camarda commented
It is frustrating for patrons to be forced to choose from various URLs that lack clear identification of the connected library. From an accessibility perspective, we should aim to include accessible links whenever possible to spare patrons who use screen readers from having to listen to the entire URL being read aloud.

We require this update to make the patron's experience the best and least confusing it can be

URL links are not patron friendly, particularly when they cannot discern which one to click or find their library.

Accessibility is paramount for us and without this improvement, our patrons will find it either difficult or impossible to access what they want
-
Eileen Keller commented
Displaying the note rather than the links for this field allows patrons to access materials belonging to their library, rather than blindly clicking and hoping they have access. This is crucial in a consortium where there could be 10 or more links on a bib, no patron is clicking 10 times to see if they can access something, causing frustration and underutilization of materials.

Catherine Benson commented
Patrons should not be impeded when searching for information in our catalog. Let's make it as easy as possible, without this barrier to translate their library's URL links.

Patrons need access to our unique e resources and the current display is unclear – this creates a roadblock for patrons wishing to access our resources through the Discover catalog. The URL links are not patron friendly, particularly when they cannot discern which one to click or find their library.
