Add a Note Field in the RFID Pad Server Options Table
As ILS administrators of a large consortium, we would like the RFID Server Options Table to have an additional field/column to add notes (library name, dates, staff initials). When one of our member libraries needs to change RFID entries, we sort through nearly 200 lines to determine which one needs updating. Many entries use IPs without identifying library information. We must read through old library correspondence to discern which IPs belong to the library. This task takes up valuable time when we are trying to assist a library with troubleshooting or adding and removing entries.
An additional free-text field to include library-specific information would allow us to navigate the RFID table more efficiently with fewer errors.

As a library, currently replacing our self-checkout and circulation PCs, I can see how the additional fields can greatly assist the ILS administrators in updating the RFID tables for us in a timely manner!

This would be very useful. We currently maintain a separate external spreadsheet to track changes made/requested by our IT staff.

This would be a huge improvement rather than having to refer back to DNS or spreadsheets. We only have about 45 entries in our table for two sites. Can't imagine how cumbersome this would be to manage for a consortium with multiple subnets spanning many sites.

The RFID pad table can be very difficult to navigate with a high number of entries across several libraries, which makes it easy to make mistakes when editing the table. This enhancement would make that workflow a lot easier and cut down on a lot of potential errors.

This field would allow us to keep identifying information about RFID pads in Sierra, rather than in external documentation. This would save time as well as prevent errors. This would allow us to better support the libraries within our consortium.

As a System Admin, managing the RFID Server Options Table for the libraries in our consortium can be difficult, and mistakes have been made due to the number of entries. Adding a free-text field would allow us to eliminate the extra documentation maintained outside of Sierra and track updates to the table.
