Yes, libraries closing for periods of time happens more frequently than you'd think. I would consider this basic functionality and critical to have.

I apologize for the erroneous update. The change we made in Nov/Dec of 2024 did not actually deliver the requested functionality in this idea request. Changing status back to Under Review.

Yes, it is just more added confusion for the patron. Especially the response that appears when it fails, Cancel Failed try again. Well the patron can try 5000 times it's never going to work.

This is an issue that needs to be addressed. We've run into issues with temporarily closing a library also. Defaulting to the library at the top of the list for a hold pickup location makes no sense whatsoever.
