Make filter sticky when searching Leap
When searching in Leap, any applied filters are automatically discarded when the search box is closed. It would be beneficial to have the option to make filters stick from search to search. A good example is in the case of consortia - it would be extremely helpful if the patron assigned library filter would stick so staff would always begin an initial search for patrons with their library filter in place.
Idea Value
Time savings would be gained if staff did not have to select a specific filter each time a search was conducted - such as selecting the patron assigned library filter when looking for patrons within their library, or item branch filter when looking for items within their library.

As a consortium, our libraries have a shared database. Many of our smaller libraries simply search a person's name to find an account rather than using the patron barcode. If there are multiple people in our database with the same name (which is common), staff need to pay extra close attention to make sure they choose the correct account. If the wrong account is accidentally chosen, the item(s) get checked out to the wrong person and if they become overdue or lost, the wrong person gets notified about fines. Many times, this results in them calling the branch in a panic and causes a lot of unnecessary staff time spent figuring out what happened and how to correct it. Allowing the Find Tool filters to "stick" would prevent unnecessary stress and time for patrons and staff respectively.
