Integrate cloudLibrary with both Polaris and BiblioCommons
We recently began integrating Polaris with cloudLibrary in an effort to keep our collection more up-to-date and have patrons' Polaris accounts reflect their cloudLibrary borrowing. Unfortunately, our results have been inconsistent because while the Polaris/cloudLibrary connection works, there is not a fluid integration between Polaris, cloudLibrary, and BiblioCommons, where patrons are also able to check out cloudLibrary titles. We would like to see full integration between all three vendors so that transactions on any platform are properly communicated to the others.

We've discussed this issue a few times with support and I think there have been some syncing issues/delays between the systems. I'm going to set this idea to "Under Review" but there is still a chance there's a bug here somewhere (on either side), rather than an enhancement.

I can't speak to Thomas' situation, but for me in mine as a member library of CCS, I can't see items checked out to Cloud Library in PowerPac nor LEAP. Even after doing a "Refresh eContent" in PowerPac.
In an ideal world, I would also like to see CloudLinked and PPU titles available when people are logged in (and thus be invisible to users who are not from our library but still in the consortium). -
Hi Thomas,
Would you provide details in how you would like the integration to work? What is lacking in how the current integration functions?
