Record borrowing library's agency code in item history
Record the borrowing library's agency code in the item history in case damage is noticed after checking in the item. Once the item is checked in, there is no way to track which library the item was returned from.

We have had this exact issue. Most libraries want to be able to charge a patron for damaging items. However, once checked in the INN-Reach information is lost.
