Econtent should be filtered out of search results when a location filter is applied.

I apologize for the erroneous update. The change we made in Nov/Dec of 2024 did not actually deliver the requested functionality in this idea request. Changing status back to Under Review.

Econtent should not be included. Patrons don't understand why it is.

Good grief, I just opened a ticket about this, thinking Vega was broken. Now I see that I've opened 3 tickets in the past about this. The answer you get is that when you limit a search to a physical location, the search results will also include eBooks which have no physical location. Does this make any sense to the average user? Why would anyone think by limiting that it would, by the way, also include any online versions related to a search. Especially problematic when it's a search by all (keyword) or concept.

This says Anonymous but it was actually our idea - to expand upon this, it would be ideal to be able to exclude econtent even when a location filter is not applied. Having it as an option to exclude it in general would be an improvement.

This is a real pain point for our customers and staff who work with specialised collections, the only way they get a realistic view of what is at an item location is to refine by availability first. Customers do not know they need to do this, so it is not very intuitive.

This one is pretty important to us. Without being able to choose if eContent is or isn't included in location filtered search results (we would choose for it to not be included) the location facet is basically useless.
