Automatically re-execute search in Location Drawer
In the Location Drawer, there is a search box that offers the user a place to narrow the results based on call number, edition date, etc. When the user changes the location, the results update to the desired location and the search term(s) is retained in the search box, but the results don't reflect the inclusion of the search term. The user must click in the search box and manually re-execute the search. This is not intuitive at all. Retaining the search term while updating the results to a different chosen location implies that the results include the effect of the search term. When the location is changed and the results are updated, the system should either discard the search term, or automatically re-execute the search.
In the attached screenshot, the location has been changed and the results updated, but the search term "readalong" has not affected the results. The list includes all the items at the location and not just the ones including "readalong."

I completely agree with this suggestion! The current behavior in the Location Drawer can indeed be quite confusing for users. When you change the location and see the search term retained in the search box, it naturally implies that the results should reflect the inclusion of that search term within the new location. However, the fact that the results don't automatically update based on the new location can lead to frustration and misunderstanding.
To improve the user experience, it would be much more intuitive if the system either discarded the search term when the location changes or automatically re-executed the search with the new location settings. This would ensure that users get the results they expect, making the interface more user-friendly and efficient. Thank you for bringing this issue to attention, and I hope the necessary changes will be implemented to enhance the functionality of the Location Drawer.
