On the admin/staff side for Vega Discover - ideally we would like the ability to have the list of Shelf Locations from Polaris with a "show/hide" option for each so that we can remove anything that may be irrelevant for search filtering (like a shelf location of Information Desk). This would give all of your customers the ability to best use this new filter facet in whatever way aligns with how they set up their combination of Collections and Shelf Locations in their ILS.

Also, did I mention that this capability exists in other products like Aspen Discovery, etc.? This could be a very useful feature so that Innovative can continue to compete against these other products. Thanks!!!

Other useful shelf locations for filtering that we have in our consortium include: Local Author, Mystery, Parenting and Family, Picture Book, Romance, Summer Reading, etc.

I've created a mockup of what this might look like, which also shows how useful it would be to be able to filter a combination of collections and shelf locations.

Having shelf locations as a facet can also simply help filter results, while at the same time keeping the Collections more constant. We can filter by collection, which for many libraries will only get you so far. Shelf locations can really help all searchers drill down to a target or narrow search results.

This is really important for us... we utilize collections as broad, overarching categories for items (Adult Fiction, Adult Non-Fiction, etc.), but Shelf Locations get more specific. Please add Shelf Location as a filter facet so that our librarians can limit down to "Early Reader, Picture Books, etc.".

We'd love the ability to have shelf locations as a search category on Vega Discover as well.
