Changes to Vega Passthrough Search
In Vega Discover, when executing a passthrough search, the external link icon is used as a button. This UI is confusing to patrons, who are expecting the catalog name to be the link or looking for a button that looks more like the other buttons on the page.
When the passthrough search only has one option, the option is a link, and that behavior is preferred. On the resource page, when there are more than one option, the external link icon appears, and the behavior is different. Our collection sites have more than one option, while the full collection Vega only has one link. Since the same option has different behaviors at different times in different places, it's harder to educate patrons on the usage.

commentedPatrons like things to be simple and straightforward, especially when using their public library. Whether it's online or in our physical building, we try to make everything easy for the patrons to use and understand. Making this change would be a huge improvement for our patrons.

commentedPatrons get very frustrated and confused with the way the passthrough search works. It does not function as they expect it to. Fixing this provides for a better patron experience.

commentedThe current UI for passthrough searches in Vega Discover is confusing for patrons. Using the external link icon as a button is not intuitive, especially when multiple options are available. Patrons expect the catalog name itself to be the clickable link, or they look for a more conventional button similar to others on the page.
