Here at our library, we have many different displays set up for holidays, library events, etc. Our staff is very good about coding these items as 'On Display" so that patrons will know where to find the item. However, Vega Discover does NOT display that status on the initial tab for the item so the patrons are unable to locate it. This causes a ton of frustration for our patrons. We also have a number of items that are for "In Library Use Only" and this information is also buried within the record. Displaying this information on the tab, in a ranked system when multiple items contain different statuses, would be ideal for good customer service.

We have a number of patrons and staff who have already asked us about this feature not being available in Vega Discover. They have to go back to the WebPAC account function to be able to delete items from their Reading History. Please add this functionality ASAP.

As a workaround, you can create a custom question template to collect the grades of attendees or confirm they are in a specific grade.

A majority of the childrens' programs we do at our library are limited by grade level, not by age. Asking patrons to have to complete an extra step of writing in their child's grade level is more work for the patrons, and more work for our staff on the back end, as well.

Patrons like things to be simple and straightforward, especially when using their public library. Whether it's online or in our physical building, we try to make everything easy for the patrons to use and understand. Making this change would be a huge improvement for our patrons.

It would absolutely make it easier to clean out these files with this additional information made available to us.

Having had this exact problem occur while rapid updating lists, I would be thrilled for this enhancement to be added. It is very frustrating for staff when this occurs.

I have encountered this frustrating problem numerous times, and have had to leave titles out of showcases because of it. Books have many different subject headings, so they could be added to many different lists. A popup letting the user know that this title is already in the other list would be great, too.

It important for us to know where our patrons are making their payments, so this would be a very important update for us.

As a library that uses Square, this would be a vital component for us. More payment options for our patrons ALWAYS makes them very happy.

We need to know which of our showcases are popular or unpopular. This will help us decide which subject areas to continue to create showcases for, and which ones we should no longer create. It allows for streamlining our workflows with the hard data to back up our choices.

This is an absolute necessity for us poor little consortia. Getting patrons to read our communications is hard enough without our power users feeling bombarded by email after email after email for each individual item they have checked out or reserved. This would be ideal.

We have encountered this problem, as well. A copy option would make this much easier for my staff.

When patrons are using a Children's catalog, they rightly expect all of the suggested materials to be age-appropriate. Especially if they are allowing the children to use the catalog on their own, as we have customized it to appeal to children. No adult content should be accessible in a children's catalog.

Our patrons rely on consistency, and having the book tab reliably highlighted first will eliminate tons of erroneous requests for material types that the patrons didn't want.

A large number of our patrons complain about not seeing their emails because their inboxes are overloaded with messages, so we have always pushed them to sign up for text message alerts. We also have many patrons who want to know IMMEDIATELY when something they have requested comes in for them, and they love their text message alerts. We need to be able to offer this option to ALL of our patrons, especially since we are unable to sign them up for this service in Sierra.

It is wildly confusing for our patrons to see items listed in the catalog as 'On Order' when the item is actually damaged, long overdue, or any other status that isn't 'Available' or checked out. Depending on the record, this could also make it appear that the library is ordering a very old copy of an item. Accurate information is very important to our patrons, and to our staff.

We want our patrons to be able to find items easily any way they would search for them. Having the 505 |t fields indexed ONLY for keyword/all searches makes it harder for those patrons who search for items by Title. Especially if they are searching for the exact title of a song on a music CD or the exact title of a short story in a collection. We are trying to make things easier for them, not harder. We shouldn't have to teach patrons how to search for items. It should be easy and intuitive for them to be able to find it on their own.
