Limit number of soft bounces.
Limit the number of soft bounces to 2 and then it becomes a hard bounce. Patrons with email soft bounces, are not getting any notifications. Hold Notices are negatively effecting our customer service since patrons only have 5 days to pick up the item and they are not receiving the notice. The suggestion to manually monitor and update bounced emails is time consuming and requires daily staff time which is already limited. When larger library systems move to LX Starter, this could be potentially thousands of emails to monitor.
Please consider limiting soft bounces ASAP.

We are planning on limiting soft bounces this quarter (Q3 2023).

Obviously, if you were targeting Q3 of 2023, there's been a delay, but is this still planned? What kind of limit are you expecting to put in place?
We see circumstances similar to Janet's. For example, +500 soft bounces for notices sent out this weekend alone & a small number of staff who have to address them manually.

Partial fix for this issue was delivered in August.
A more permanent solution is planned for future development.

Cautionary note - we get soft bounces alerts when patrons have their auto-responders on - so it's not actually a bounce in almost every case we've seen.

Monitoring the bounces on a daily basis is very time consuming.
