    Just a quick comment that the reason a patron can receive multiple collection agency blocks when you are reporting by item branch is because they will have a block for each of the libraries that reports them to collections. In theory, all the blocks would be cleared automatically when the patron balance is paid down to $0. If that is not happening, there may be a bug.

    Emma - Can you clarify if you're using Leap with the standard authentication method or the OAUTH authenitcation method? This may impact the error data available to Leap.

    Just a clarification question - are you using the new Damaged status and declare damaged feature from Polaris 7.5? Or is this a customized status with a "Damaged" description?

    We plan to have a partial implementation of this in Polaris 7.6 with the ability to add to a bib record set by ISBN.

    As people see this enhancement request, please comment. There is a request under Vega Discover right now asking for the ability to place holds on items out (https://ideas.iii.com/admin/v3/ideas/46756351), while this request is asking us to restrict them. So there is clearly a need for configuration to support different library policies. Having comments on different library policies would be very helpful.

    Can you share more details about the linking? Polaris already supports what we call "associated patrons" where multiple cards can be linked together to support blocking or holds pickup between parents and children.

    Can the supporters for this idea provide more details around the use cases? Is this primarily for serials/journals you are subscribed to via EBSCO? Are you using subscription records in Polaris? Or just looking to get an invoice automatically generated with the total amount?

    Could those in favor of this idea please share some comments with how you would envision this working end to end? Should requests be added to something like a section list? Do patrons get to track the status of the request? Or do they submit the request and then see when the hold is created for them?

    One potential work around if you are not using patron photos would be to keep a scanned copy of the card as the patron photo. These photos only display for staff.

    Just to confirm my understanding of this request, this is about the patron being able to opt-in/out of specific additional text notice types?

    If you wanted to disable additional text notices on all renewal reminder emails, that can be done in system administration. But it sounds like there are some patrons who like receiving the additional renewal text and others who do not.

    Can you clarify if the allowed check outs are happening in PAC, Vega or the vendor software? All of the above?

    I ask because I know with econtent there are situations where Polaris controls the authentication (bypasses the vendor) and situations where the vendor controls (based on information provided via API or SIP), Understanding the scope of the issue will help us detemine where changes are needed for a consistent experience.
