I spent a few hours yesterday trying to do this and not being able to figure out why it worked with Item Records and not patron records. The documentation I was able to find also did not make it clear that Patron ID was the only way to import from a file. At the very least improve the documentation. But it would be so much simpler to be able to use a barcode.

So many moving parts, it is easy to miss something as important as this and having the option would improve workflow for many!

This important to us since we need to pull patron records from Leap when we only have the barcodes. This happens when we are pulling data from other systems like Libby.

This has become a critical feature for us. Staff members with appropriate permissions should have easy access to this kind of information.
