Allow editing of Processing Workslips
The Processing Workslip is very useful - but it is missing some options and has others that we don't use or need. Our collection development and cataloging/processing staff have suggested the following:
-Have the title be in larger or bold font so it is easier to see, and have it at the very top of the page
-Show the number of items at the top of the page near the title/author details so you don't have to go the bottom of the page (or the second page) to count - this would be very helpful for large numbers of items
-The Processing area should be customizable - every library uses different terminology and procedures
Overall, we really like the workslip - we would just like to make it even more useful.

I think there is a bit of a balance here, one aspect is the "tyranny of the default" which is that most libraries are just going to use the default workslip and I think that most customers would appreciate these improvements to the default:
-Have the title be in larger or bold font so it is easier to see, and have it at the very top of the page
-Show the number of items at the top of the page near the title/author details so you don't have to go the bottom of the page (or the second page) to count - this would be very helpful for large numbers of itemsThere maybe additional universal improvements that customers would like to see as well. It might be worth polling if changes to the defaults were planned.
Although further customization seem like they should be simple, it is just the nature of technology that they are not. Printing is one of the hardest things that computers have to do, translating the digital into the physical world has never been easy. Sam is 100% correct, this can ALL be done through customizations via SSRS (we've done it) and really appreciate that this is just standard SSRS work.
Given that will be out of reach for most customers, I would suggest that Joan (and others reading this comment) consider reaching out to your sales person for options. You may find that through a custom database project for a few hundred dollars you're able to have Innovative make the customizations for you that would yield major performance improvements for your workflow without having to spend dozens of hours learning how to make the changes yourself.

How do you actually edit the workslip? When I open it up in the SQL Server Reporting Services, it is blank, and I can't figure out exactly how to open it in Report Builder (or, actually, where to *find* Report Builder - it's not part of the Reporting Services as far as I can see) Please help - this shouldn't be so complicated!

The processing workslip actually is customizable through Reporting Services (using Report Builder). These slips are contained in the Polaris > System > Internal folder.
