Add spine and serial label settings to Leap
Some library staff need to be able to alter the label margin and font size for longer call numbers, longer author names, and longer titles, as well as how the printer prints that day. Currently, staff using Leap need to go back and forth between the Client and Leap to do so. Adding the label settings that are only accessible in the Client to Leap will make it easier for staff to make the transition to Leap by allowing them to maintain their workflow for their current printers.

or some sort of alert when the maximum characters for each field (prefix, cutter, suffix, etc.) have been exceeded. Spines are only so big and we have various limitations based on font size. This would save time constantly counting characters to make sure they will fit.

The lack of serial label setting is a barrier to staff using Leap for serials management.

The client isn't ideal for our needs, and adding the additional burden of jumping back and forth in Leap is even worse. Most of our youth are oriented lengthwise which isn't possible, so we just don't use it.

This is a barrier for our libraries to use Leap for cataloging. Many alter the text of the label before printing both out of necessity and for custom labels. Often the text is too long and needs to be manually forced onto another line, or the font size decreased. Some libraries want to customize the label more by bolding or increasing the size of portions of the text, like the prefix.

Shifting between programs to achieve correct label setting is frustrating for staff.

Adding functionality to Leap that staff have come to rely on in the Client will go a long way to getting Tech Services staff to make the move to Leap!

For processors working only in Leap this would be useful.

bouncing back and forth between programs just to print labels is cumbersome.
