Improve MARC Import user experience
The LEAP MARC Import tool requires extra clicks and scrolling back and forth every time you use the import process. My team uses this process many times a day, so the extra clicks add up quite a bit, even to causing ergonomics issues. Updates to reduce the amount of clicking could cut the time spent on setting up import processes by almost half.
You have to click "Select File," and then get a popup where you have to click a second "Select File" button. You should only have to do this once.
Generally you are working top to bottom down the screen, from the Utilities menu, then import profile selection, then file selection. At that point you have to scroll back up to find and click the Import button, which I think should be towards the bottom below the file selection section.
It would be nice to be able to select a favorite/default import profile, so staff do not have to scroll through the list to find and select the correct one each time. We never use the Polaris Default profile, which is what is selected when you open the tool.
There's already another idea open on this, but being able to have it default to the same file each time (ex. an OCLC export file) would also be helpful.
It would also be helpful to have a pop-up asking if you want to open the record sets related to the import, when present.
