LEAP: Find Tool - Fund / Free Balance Column - Currency Sort Issue
The Free Balance column in LEAP sorts by the number amount only. It does not recognize a negative dollar amount as being less than a regular (full) dollar amount.
Polaris Client sorts it the correct way. Please fix - Thank you. See screen clips.2 votes -
LEAP: POLI Notes - Cannot edit these fields for Closed Years
We often enter Non-public notes in POLI's, regarding order status, PTO requests from suppliers, unsuitable items, no-cost replacement requests, and reasons for cancellation. The client allows note entry in all POLI's - Open and Closed years.
We do not automatically cancel outstanding orders before fiscal close, so when a supplier cancels in the new year, or we choose to, we enter a note in the POLI and delete the on-order item record. Closed year POLI's cannot be 'Cancelled'.
Currently, we have to go to the client to enter the note and save it.1 voteThis is a bug, not an enhancement. Please open a bug with Support.

More Robust Item Record Change History
It would be very helpful to have a more robust item record history. It appears that only the last 12 months of item history is available. It would be great if Polaris would:
A) keep the history of changes in the item record forever
B) improve the data that is stored and presented to staff, for example, so we could see what exactly was edited on 7-26-23 in the screenshot attached. Allow Floating's Load Balancing option to be set at the Library-Level
Currently, Floating's Load Balancing option can only be enabled at the System-Level in Polaris. I am on a shared Polaris server where one library system wants Load Balancing and one library system does not want it. This leaves us with not turning the feature on. It would be nice to allow Floating's Load Balancing option to be set at the Library-Level.

Add Abdo Publisher as an EDI vendor.
Adding smaller vendors allows us to receive better discounts when we can order direct.

When Receiving POs, Only Change Item Status to In-Process if Current Item Status Is On Order
It is frustrating that Polaris allows items that have not been received to circulate. There is probably not a connection between the PO status and the item status – but it sure would be nice if there was! We recently had an incident where items were distributed to branches before having been invoiced and received. A few days later when the invoice was processed, the items were all changed to a status of In-Process, even though they had already been checked out or were in a status of Being Held. Copy to create new INLI in Leap
In Polaris, when you are in an INLI you can click the New button you get the option to Copy Existing Work Form. The new INLI retains some values from the existing one (e.g. fund, title, author).
In LEAP you need to exit the INLI, and then click the New Line Item button, which does not fill in any of the information.
