Hoopla integration improvement
Recently at the Strategic partner meeting it was discussed that the current Hoopla integration will be developed further so that pre-defined MARC records lists of top 100’s or Top 500’s could be imported and displayed.
I would like to see this taken a step further and have the option for Hoopla materials to display on the roll up if there is a match to the existing physical holdings rather than the current all or nothing option.
This would really help customers when they are looking to get hold of materials as fast as possible, and in addition will help market the service to customers who have not yet used it by enhancing available options with a more curated approach.

Agreed on this. It would also help if the search weights were adjusted for many of these Hoopla records that don't roll-up because right now, as wonderful as it is having Hoopla records appear in the catalog, our searches are overflowing with both low-quality slop and irrelevant results because of the sheer volume of items that Hoopla owns. I had a search today where I could not find the book we owned because all the Hoopla titles floated to the top of the keyword search.
"Table for Two," for example, returns 7 random romance novels of the same name (also the Nora Roberts book, which was expected) from Hoopla before the very popular Amor Towles book. It's going to impact ease of usage for patrons and staff and only lead to more grumbling.

We would like this to be the case if Kanopy records can be ingested. They have a lot of materials we don't want in the collection, but if we could limit to what we have purchased physically (DVDs) and/or the top 100 or something like that (or block categories like "erotic," for example), we would be more apt to use it.
