Display information for everything by one author
When someone clicks on the author name for an item, they should be brought to a search result that shows all items by that author available in their library system. Currently, we're brought to a page that looks like what I've attached and it's quite annoying to try and view everything and look for availability. If a patron is looking for information about an author, they're not likely to go looking in the library catalog. They should be able to click the author's name and see everything the author has written that's available in their library system as though they…

Discover pickup location should default to 'select a library' not the first in the alphabet
Currently, when I library is temporarily closed for a renovation, we noticed different behavior in Discover vs. the PAC when it comes to default pickup location. We think the way it used to work is better.
In Discover that patrons registered to that library (who have no preferred pick up location) set on their profile... Discover will default to the first one alphabetically. This is a problem for us as a consortium because now patrons are clicking through and sending things to the library that starts with A for pickup. Yes, they can select another one, but most will just…

Clicking next page should display the search results at the top of the page and not remain at the bottom of the search results
Currently when you click to go to the next page of search results, you remain at the bottom of the page, which means you have to scroll all the way to the top to view the next page of results, then scroll all the way back down to get back to page navigation to go to the next page. The navigation should either display the top of the search results when the next page is clicked and/or allow the page navigation to be accessed from the top of the page/search results also and not just the bottom of the page/search…

Homepage Schedule - Publishing Record
We'd like to be able to look back and see what we promoted on Vega Homepage (esp. if we promised promotion for something).
With scheduled homepage layouts (https://portal.productboard.com/iii/15-vega-product-portal/c/772-in-beta-schedule-publishing-in-the-home-page-builder), we would like to keep track of what showcase blocks we have scheduled in the future as well as those already published (past events), ideally viewable in a way (table?) with what is included in the Showcase Block Settings - for example, title, start date and time, end date and time. This would be exportable as a .csv file. A minimum of time that Vega would keep published blocks would…

relevancy improvement
When doing a title search, search results that have the search term in the title should have a higher relevancy than those that have the search term in the subtitle.
For example, when doing a title search for "thriller" in our catalog, two of the first three results have thriller in the title. You have scroll through over a hundred more search results before you find another item titled "Thrillers" and another page of results before you find another result specifically titled "Thriller" The rest of the results have thriller in the subtitle.
If there is an exact title match…

Export list of titles when browsing by reading level
We are LOVING the fact that Syndetics Unbound pulls in reading-level information and readalikes. We anticipate this will be very popular with teachers and parents, and it would be awesome if there was a way to easily export a list of the titles available at that level. As far as we can tell, right now there isn't a way to add all of the titles to a list or export/print the list.

Staff user accounts: add library/organization field
To manage staff accounts across a consortium, we need to be able to associate users with each other by library. It would be very useful to have a piece of metadata for staff accounts that identifies which library(ies) they work for.
This would:
1. Make it easier to filter users when looking at the long list of all users.
2. Let people have control over the showcases created by others in their organization but not the entire system - currently, we can't let librarians publish their own showcases because we don't want them to have consortia-level control to all showcases.…4 votes -
(Vega Homepage) Allow Kids' Catalogs to add early language learning for specific showcases
We plan to experiment with customized code to build this feature, but it would be ideal to have the option to add a customizable text bubble at the top of specific showcases within the 'Audience Theme' set to 'Children.' This bubble could be edited by library staff. Our goal is to include early language learning prompts within each showcase category, such as 'What sound does a dog make?' under the Subject - Dogs, or 'What is your favorite bird?' under Birds. While we're confident we can implement this with custom JS, we are concerned that it might break with future…

Reading History diplays pop-up warning with deletion.
When patrons are deleting anything from reading history a pop-up window will notify them that (currently) their entire history will be deleted: "Are you sure you want to delete your entire reading history?" And if individual title deleting becomes a possibility: "are you sure you want to delete this(these) titles?"

Display all 520 fields in record, not just the first one
We have many titles that are collections of multiple titles, such as Binge Boxes, that are cataloged with multiple 520 (summary) fields to cover all the titles contained in the set. However, only the first MARC 520 summary field displays in Vega, which is difficult for customers who are trying to find all titles contained in the collection. The table of contents is buried in "edition information--details", which is very small and not obvious to the average customer, so they often don't know what titles the collection contains. This is also true for some short story collections and CD compilations.…

Add Help Text for Nickname
Add Help Text for the Nickname Field to explain what it does to a patron's profile display.
Hi,
We have a report of a patron assuming editing the nickname in the profile would edit the username. It doesn't and it is confusing to have it there without knowing what it is supposed to do. We did find that it is useful for identifying the owner of a showcase and of course changing the logged in name; however, non of this is really clear. We think it would make the profile settings more understandable to have a ? icon with a…

Right-click on covers to open in a new tab
When looking at an item record in Vega Discover, patrons should be able to right click on titles to open in a new tab (e.g., in the list of You May Also Like, Related Resources, Topics, etc.). Right now, patrons have to click on the title to open the record, see if we have it and where it's located. If they want to look at another title, they have to use the back button then wait for the page to refresh again, scroll down, and repeat.

Improved Hoopla Integration
With the Hoopla integration turned on, Hoopla records don't roll up with everything else (it looks like it's because the ingested records have the author as First Name Last Name instead of Last Name, First Name).
If we get an API ingested record for a Hoopla item we already have a MARC record for, we end up with a duplicate in Vega.

Add a dedicated copy button to Vega Item/Barcode Window
A small handful of our libraries have reported issues copying barcodes and BibID's from Vega's lightbox and pasting into Sierra. Apparently irregular expressions like a new line can sometimes be selected and Sierra will not paste anything afterward; giving these staff members the impression that nothing copied over.
We've explained that they can double-click the text to select only it but it would be helpful if there was a dedicated copy to clipboard button next to these fields to minimize confusion.
An example implementation would be https://www.w3schools.com/howto/howto_js_copy_clipboard.asp
