1. Use library email addresses for email testing.

   When testing the email workflow in LX Starter, the emails are currently sent from vega@iiivega.com. Instead, it would be better to send test emails from the actual email addresses configured for the library.

   This would more fully validate the end-to-end email process and catch any issues before LX Starter is live, as reliable email delivery is critical.

   Benefits:

   1. Tests the full email process from the library's email address
   2. Catches email issues before product launch
   3. Validates reliability of email workflow before sending emails to patrons.

   Suggested Implementation:

   1. Update the LX Starter email test feature to send from the configured library email address rather than the vega@iiivega.com email address.
   2. Build in functionality to delete the test emails afterwards...

   The key goal is to ensure a smooth, reliable email process for libraries launching on LX Starter.

2. For hard bounces, also update eReceipt option

   When a message hard-bounces, LX Start passes back information to the ILS to add a nonblocking note to the patron's account and to update their notification preference from email to whatever the ILS has as the designated backup method. In Polaris, there is a SEPARATE setting on patron accounts to chose whether the patron automatically receives an email receipt for a transaction. This setting does not get changed when an email address hard bounces. Could the pass back also include updating patrons who have eReceipts turned on to have that turned off?

   When a patron has eReceipts turned on, staff are not prompted to print a receipt when completing a transaction because the system assumes the patron is receiving an email, but if the email address on the account has hard-bounced, they won't. Even if staff or the patron somehow were aware of this, the staff member has to navigate to the Items Out tab in Leap to print a 'checkout receipt' for the transaction, and that list will include items that weren't part of the transaction if the patron already had other items out.

   Please add LX Starter release notes & known issues to the Supportal. I reviewed the current release notes and known issues on all products and did not find any mention of LX Starter.

   LX Starter Release Notes are being posted to the Supportal with each release by Product Management.

   
   

   LX Starter Known Issues have also been posted to the Supportal and are being managed by Customer Support.

4. Add a list of merge tags and what they correspond to in the ILS

   Merge tags use different terminology than either Sierra or Polaris ILS. Create a key that maps merge tag names to the corresponding field in each of the two ILSes so that users can understand what data will be pulled when they insert a particular merge tag.

5. Ability to send test message with data pulled from the ILS

   The key functional feature of the notice templates are merge tags. When sending a test message, the most important thing you would want to be testing is whether merge tags are displaying correctly. However, since dummy data is used in the test notices, the test notices don't allow you to assess if your merge tags are working or not. It would be really nice if test emails could be sent with data pulled from the customer's ILS so we could see if our merge tags were working.
