Speak the patron's name at the beginning of the message
When making a phone call for a hold pickup or overdue item, identify the patron you are calling for at the beginning of the message. This is needed for multi-patron households to know who the message is intended for.

This is a good idea if the titles aren't mentioned; otherwise you might infringe on the privacy of household members who may wish to keep their library activity to themselves.

Agreed. When we asked about this during a recent implementation planning discussion, staff suggested it was current absent for privacy concerns, but didn't seem particularly convincing, either to us or themselves.

This is important to have. how would patron know whose hold or overdue items belong to if you don't tell them?

This is a necessary feature - but we'd like such a feature to include the option for customers to record their own name. No automatic system can correctly pronounce every name that is presented to it. Our customers really appreciate the ability to "teach" the system how to say their name and miss it when that functionality isn't available.
