Allow Vega Homepage Showcases to be used elsewhere (External Sites)
We leverage the standard Vega showcases on our website (https://www.rhpl.org) but the Vega Homepage showcases offer better visibility. Please allow us to use these throughout our organization.

Angela, YES! We would still like to see showcase embed code that displays more like the Cover Carousel display used on Vega Home Page. The new code for Showcase widgets does now work better on smaller screens than it did before. The display on a phone now allows you to page through individual covers in a showcase without inadvertently clicking on a cover image.
Unfortunately, this fix is not working well on desktop for our website. We are using tabs to embed multiple showcases in a block on our pages and the tabs are not reading the new embed code properly so the showcase displays as you would expect on the initial tab, but all other tabs show only one cover in the centre of the showcase block(when there is room for 5!).
In addition, we would prefer the mobile view allow users to swipe to scroll through covers, rather than having to page through one-by-one using the arrow buttons. This works very well on Vega Home Page and provides a nicer user experience.

There have been recent updates to showcases, detailed in the June 21, 2023 release notes. Is there still a need to repurpose the Home Page showcases?
Responsiveness Improvements for Generated Showcase Code Widgets
Our Vega Discover generated showcase widget code available for staff created showcases now provides a more responsive display for all devices. There is no need to regenerate code for showcases you are already using in websites, this change will apply automatically to existing showcases. When a showcase display is too wide for a device (too many covers configured for the display area) we gracefully reduce the displayed covers on the showcase row and allow left/right navigation without the need to scroll up and down to view resources in the showcase.
