Redirect patrons to home/preferred library Collection Site upon login
If the patron logs into a patron site that isn't their preferred or home library, give them the choice to be redirected to that site.
A choice would be preferred, since a patron may be logging in to complete a check out or list save against a collection site they do have access to, so we do not want to interrupt their experience unnecessarily.

Allow Custom Links to Open in the Same Window
Currently, these links only open in a new window/tab. Especially in Kiosk situations it would be advantageous to have the links open in the same window.

Ability to Exclude Location Results in a Vega Collection Site
Give a Library the ability to exclude locations by default in the search results. For example, a Library may be far enough away that materials from that location are essentially unavailable. If they could be excluded it would help with preventing patron confusion and frustration.

Add Option to Exclude eContent from MARC Extraction
We currently have Overdrive content as records in our catalog and thus the API integration to Overdrive is not being used for the records. We'd like to continue to have those records in our catalog so staff and patrons can search in other places (Leap, PowerPAC, Innovative Mobile App etc) but be able to exclude them from Vega extraction so the API can be used instead.

Add Hold Position to Holds List
We are finding that our patrons rely on seeing where they are in the holds queue to make decisions about keeping a hold active and have gotten used to this feature in Polaris PowerPAC.

Add Lazy Loading or a Load More button to Grid View for mobile devices.
Improve Vega's page loading performance on devices and allow patrons to view the complete results lists easily by removing the page links and adding Lazy Loading or Load More option. Patrons' current web experience is a continuous scroll with content loading. This enhancement maintains that experience.

Due Date Display
It would be helpful to display due date(s) for item(s) in the location drawer. This would enable staff and patrons to see this info in one step when they select the item's location.

Staff Reference Features (Polaris Staff Override PIN parity)
Create a Staff User permission that allows staff users to do the following things for patrons
Place Hold
Renew
Add a List
Add a Saved Search
Edit other Patron Data within reason15 votesA reference librarian role for staff users is being designed and considered for future development.
In the meantime, Vega recognizes the override password that is configured for Organization ID 3 (and only this configuration) in Polaris if you want to continue using this feature in Vega Discover.

Customize Vega Email Password Reset Message
In a consortium, the default is the name of the account of the consortium. This is confusing because the consortium name might be the name or nickname of a single library in the consortium. Patrons do not recognize the email address (no-reply@iiivega.com) or library name listed (Bett). Ability to customize the message would allow each library to use their own branded name.

Put icon on the corner of book images so we can save for later to our bookmarks easily
Could you please make it so we can create a view later list, just by adding an icon to the corner of the book image. This would be easier than having to click on the book to view it and then find the request or save button.

Add item information to renewal screens
After having just been in Encore to renew, now I’m in Vega. What I don’t like about this screen is the lack of item related info. Example, Let’s say the 2 SirDynix bibs are magazine issues and I want to renew the May 21 issue – which one is it? The Encore screen provides barcode and call number, so you can differentiate between the items. This would help situations like this.

On order eContent
Currently, eBooks and eAudiobooks on order/not yet published from OverDrive do not show up as such in Vega. They show up as ‘checked out’, which is confusing for patrons, especially when these books are MONTHS from being released. Add additional eContent status to reflect titles that are coming soon.
