  1. Now that we can publicize room blockouts with holidays, it would be great if we could edit existing block outs rather than having to delete them and re-block.

We block all our holidays for the year in advance, so we had to go through all our locations, delete all blocks, and re-block them with the holidays so we could utilize the new feature (which we appreciate!). We also like to block holidays that are still being determined so we can be prepared (for example, deciding whether we'll be closed all day on New Year's Eve, or just half the day…

  2. In the event reminder email template for registered attendees, there is a variable for 'Location' which tells the user which of our library branches their program is being held at. Would it be possible to add a variable for the specific room in that branch, also? We have some large branches with multiple floors/rooms available for programs. It would be helpful to let them know where specifically in the branch the program is located.

  3. Event Search> Search Term: Incorporate event descriptions into the search parameters so a search will find keywords in a description and not just the title/series/category/note.

Note: a previous enhancement request was implemented on the public side only 10/29/24 (https://ideas.iii.com/forums/951976-vega-program/suggestions/48176696-keyword-description-search#comments)

  4. We'd like to make better use of the brochure feature, and one limitation we encounter is that the room names are not listed on the brochures.

Our patrons rely on our calendar to know not only when events are, but where in the building they are. Branch name is helpful, but a room name would increase the usability of brochures for us.

  5. Please make the email templates customize-able so that we can change the colors, fonts, and font sizes. Not only will this help libraries brand the emails going to their customers, but it will also help ensure digital accessibility. The current global settings in the emails do not meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines, which will soon be the LEGAL requirement that all government organizations must meet in all aspects of digital communications, including emails.

  6. We would be interested in switching from Springshare's LibCal to Program. However, we use the Tickets & Passes module within LibCal and would need this functionality within Program before we can switch. We offer a certain number of passes per attraction per week for patrons to book. The patron reviews available dates on a calendar, selects their preferred date, and then reserves with their library card. The pass is emailed to the patron for them to present to the museum. LibCal also offers libraries the option for physical passes that can be picked up from the Library. Thanks for considering!

This feature has been released and is now a part of the product. Staff can select equipment for multiple day. This will be available for patron selection in the near future.

  7. Some library programs include contests that are added to the events calendar (short story & card design contests, themed newsletter programs, displays, etc.). These events are required to have set hours.

Staff may approximate "All Day" with a time range of 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM, but it would be less clunky to have an All Day option.

  11. When staff are booking a study room for patrons, allow them to enter specific start/end times. For example, our library's rooms are booked in 1-hour increments. But if a patron shows up at 10:15 and wants to use a room that is booked at 11am, there's no way to book the room for just 45 minutes, even on the staff side. If staff enters 10:15 as the start time, the software changes the default end time to 11:15, and there's no way to change it to 11am.

Another way to resolve this would be to allow both patrons and staff…

  13. Would be nice to have a "Remind me about this program" button on the public view for events that do not require registration. The interested users could get a reminder notification (email/SMS) like 24 hours before the event.

  15. It would save a lot of time to be able to create a report and save it (Only having to adjust dates when we run it) so that we don't have to make all the tweaks and go different places to get the data we need for our monthly reports.

We could create different reports for Meeting Room Bookings, Program Attendance, etc.

Attached is a sample report builder where you could chose the pieces of data you wanted in your report and how you wanted the report to be formatted. Then the next time you ran it, you could just…

  16. If a patron does not show up for their room booking and we do not cancel the booking on the day that it happens, (staff gets distracted or forget) no one has the ability to cancel that room booking the next day. The only option we have is to make a staff note in the room booking.
We also created a custom question to get attendance stats of these room bookings, so we cannot change that figure now either which will impact our stats if we aren't careful.
Please allow ADMIN to make changes to patron room bookings after the…

  17. When you view location options in the Check Availability tab, you have the option to select whole locations (checking the location box, and all the rooms are selected from that location). In the Booking Search tab, all the rooms are just separate, and there's not a way to pick a location and have all the rooms selected at once. A minor concern, but if there's a way to make those dropdowns the same, that would be awesome.

  18. An alt text field is needed for images uploaded to events in Program. With the new ADA accessibility rules taking effect in April, this is a vital aspect; without it, libraries simply can't use images or else they'll be out of compliance with the law.

  19. Libraries would like to have the capability to edit bulk events that are not part of a series. For example, if the Auditorium has an issue and is unavailable, move all the events to a different area.

  20. Can you add an option for editing to update all future events from the date of the edited event? The feature to edit all future from today is very helpful, but when we decide we are going to change a program's time in the fall, for example, it would be nice not to have to delete all those events and rebook or edit them each individually.

    For example:

All the Summer story times were created with a Summer Reading Category and image. However, staff set the series to end in December (not summer!).

To fix, staff need to delete and…
