Our patrons expect the ability to pay fines in the mobile app, since they are already able to do so in Vega and the Classic WebPAC. We don't use Comprise, would want it to work with PayPal, similar to payments made in WebPAC and Vega.

To piggyback on Jenna's comment below, we’ve been noticing that for titles where we have a print and then OverDrive records (eaudio and ebook), in the Vega results, the record display will not include the 520/summary, and usually there isn’t anything from Syndetics either (button linking to excerpt). This is usually newer materials and our minimal records from OverDrive haven’t been overlayed/updated yet. I usually learn of this when staff notices, often when we’re promoting something, like our book club list. I then go in and copy the 520 from the print (the more robust/better record) into the OverDrive records, run an extraction, to deal with it until our cataloger updates the records. A lot of extra work when the data is already there in the print version, which was cataloged before the ebook version.

Please note that an AUDIENCE Facet already exists in Vega and can be turned on in the staff admin.

Yes, while target audience is already included, we would also like to be able to have fiction vs. nonfiction, mystery, etc. Picture books specifically. For that, staff can do the age/target audience, but it's still too broad (we have ours at juvenile). Now they also have to use the location facet (shelf location) and search to limit choices for picture books (luckily that is part of the branch/shelf location name). Too many steps.

Do you not have the age facet enabled? Or am I missing something.
We do tag for genre, and have it indexed, but no one ever really used it except a few staff. The WMR showed minimal usage in our classic WebPAC.

I would like to see the patron name, barcode under Notice Activity Logs > Sequences. I just see Failed to Send but don't know who was affected.

To add to this: Our users would like to be able to print out their bookmarks or export them, just specific information (author/title/call number) like they can in the classic catalog (which the staff prefer over Vega). They don't want the book jacket, roll up stuff, shelf locations, etc.

I just had someone come up to me to complain (again) about the inability to print out her checkouts (in this case a large number of picture books) and getting all the images (and header) and multiple pages. In the Classic WebPAC, she can print out the titles, etc., just text and it's only a couple of pages. With Vega, it's 6 pages and the header repeats on each page, images use up a lot of space. She just wants to print out a list (text only) so she can walk around her house and find the picture books. She does not want to have to use the mobile app to do this, wants it on paper.

I just had an in-depth conversation about this with one of our library volunteers. She came by to tell me she really doesn't like Vega, prefers the Classic Catalog. When I asked why, it was specifically because she wants to exclude titles she's already read from her search results, particularly because she reads so many series (ex. Michael Connely). So she always goes to the Classic instead of Vega and gets frustrated because all we promote is Vega (links, showcases, etc.), and she keeps getting pushed there. If we could add this functionality in Vega (which many patrons are used to using in the Classic), I'm sure she'd be a convert.

Maybe there is the option to update blocks used in all templates or not? Just in case you didn't want the block updated on one notice but did so on the others?

Ideally this could also apply in cases where we have separate bibs for a specific title (different editions, etc.) and all bibs/titles have holds. Staff and patrons end up putting title-level holds on all bibs, because it's a **** shoot which one will get triggered first. Patrons don't remember to cancel the holds on the other copies (and staff have no way of knowing they have holds on other bibs), so then a hold is triggered, item put on the shelf and then languishes until the holdshelf is cleared. It would be great if when you check out a title, if Sierra could detect you have a hold on another edition with the same title/author and ask if you want to cancel those holds.

For 2023.1+, would like to be able to sort not only by time of loan, but author. When I'm trying to remember if I read something, I usually look by the author. Ideally, Reading History (or any feature) functions in a similar manner across platforms.
