  1. In addition to Single Sign-On (SSO) support for Microsoft Azure and ADFS, please consider support for Google Workspace. We recently migrated all of our email for our consortium (42 members) to Google and would greatly benefit from the ability to use the already signed-in information to authenticate into Leap. See screenshots for a design/concept mock-up.

  2. Item editing permission organizations are based on the Owning Branch of an item. However, permissions for item editing through the checkout page ('Manage Item Dialogs') are based on the item's Assigned Branch (as well as the check-in branch matching the assigned branch).

    We think it makes sense for both these permissions to be aligned to the Owning Branch, otherwise it can leave room for inappropriate changes.   3. We have had multiple patron requests to be able to sort reading history delivered by API by latest added or by title. Currently reading history is displayed with the oldest first which results in a lot of scrolling by the user.

  4. Although there are current options for purging patron IDs from circ transactions, and deleting account transactions, there are some gaps with removing PII (personally identifiable information) we'd like to see addressed.

    We'd like the option to purge patron IDs from non-circ transactions (incl. patron account history and record history). We'd also like the option to manage patron details on any other tables where history may be maintained after a patron record is deleted (e.g. Notification History, DeletedPatrons, DeletedPatronAccounts, kwmssg, and offline and InnReach process tables).   5. Could we have it so the close button within the Patron Registration follows you as you scroll down like the "Save", "Renew", etc do? I often find myself nowhere near the top when I am done with a customer account and have to navigate all the way back up just to close the record. I could see this also being useful in Bib records

  6. When using the date picker, we'd love an option to select "Today" and have it set the date automatically for us. When updating really old cards, it can be a pain to have to select a date with the picker when we have to change every field. Typing is limited in its ability to be a workaround, because it requires specific formatting in order to work.

  8. We had a patron complaint that the email notices do not include magazine issue information, only the main title. The notices also do not include item barcodes, so there isn't any data to match against a specific issue. Could information from the Issue field in the item record be displayed in overdue notices?

  9. Sierra includes the ability export records directly from OCLC into Sierra using the OCLC gateway. This allows librarians to quickly make edits in OCLC using macros, and export those records to Sierra without actually affecting the master record in OCLC. Having this feature in Leap would be great.

  10. Allow libraries to bulk change due dates of items to account for unexpected closures. Would be ideal to be able to do this from a records set. Or create a SQL job and put it in GitHub or some other accessible location for libraries.

  11. We would like to be able to adjust the timeout in Leap after inactivity ourselves. Currently, we have to contact support to do this after each upgrade, since it resets itself. If the setting was in SA, we could reset it ourselves after each upgrade.

  12. Because new is both a location and a status, it would be helpful to have an item level field in LEAP that is for "new" items. A simple checkbox would be sufficient, like "holdable" or "display in PAC." This would free up shelf location for any items that are both new and in a specific area, such as Travel, World, Graphic, etc.

  13. We would like Polaris to transition expired patrons to Deleted after a specified time frame. (Such patrons would of course need to have no lost items or checkouts.) We envision this working like Lost Item Transition and the Missing Item Transition. Ideally, we could also set a fine threshold to only delete those expired patrons with less than a certain amount of fines on their cards.

    Adding this feature would allow a library to automatically remove expired patrons and allow for a more streamline process for deleting the ones they wanted.

  16. Currently, when a user clicks on the library’s logo in the PAC header, we can specify a URL that opens. However, when they click it, the URL defaults to opening in the same page rather than in a new tab, causing the user to lose their PAC page and possibly their search results.

    It would be helpful to have a branch-level option to change that default to open a new tab instead. It could be included with the other configuration options under Profiles > PowerPAC > Page Header Options in System Administration.

  17. We need a way to bring perennial critical patron info to staff attention without creating blocks for customers or forcing staff to open the full patron registration. Having this info in the patron record header or properties would be ideal.   18. The Polaris Transactions database TransactionID is an int data type. This 2,147,483,647 means the biggest number supported by the database. In our busy system, we're about halfway through the available TransactionIDs as we're about to reach 1 billion. This field should be moved up to a bigint data type. Otherwise inserting new data will fail.

  19. It would be nice to have the ability to set different email notice schedules for each branch.

  20. Currently the default option is to charge the patron when doing a damaged item check-in (see screenshot). We would like the default to either be changed to NOT charge the patron, or we would like to be given the option to choose the default ourselves so we can change it to what we want just for our consortium.
