Authority Deletion Functionality
The process for deleting authorities is very time intensive. The process should work like deleting item or bib records and allow for not being notified for blocking/non-blocking notes. There should also be a default for how to handle deleted authorities, flip, unlink, etc. This would make the process much easier and quicker.

In accordance with the Idea Graduation Workflow guidelines agreed upon by Innovative and IUG, this idea has been closed because it was submitted more than two years ago and has not been selected for inclusion in the product.

This would be incredibly useful! The current process is excruciatingly slow and cumbersome, and this would be a significant time saver.

We recently began doing more authority clean-ups and agree. It would be great to have a setting in SA that says how to deal with deleting authority records and their linked bibs or linked authorities. There's also no bulk change for authority records and since we're changing wording and creating local authorities with notes in them, that would also be helpful to have.
