Additional check-in statuses for serials
Currently, when checking in serial issues in the Polaris client, there are only three options under the drop-down menu for status: "Expected," "Never Published," and "Not available." It would be helpful to add the statuses "Claimed" and "Pending Claimed" as additional options.

I'm going to close this idea as already supported, but we can reopen if the details can be clarified.
As mentioned in my previous comment, issue/part records will start with only three values in the status field (Expected, Never Published, Not Available), because those are the only three statuses that can be set directly in the field. To set issues to "Pending Claim" status, you simply need to have claim criteria defined within the holdings record. When the issue has passed your defined threshold for the number of days to wait to claim, it will move to a pending claim status and appear on the claim alert list. (You can also have the claim alerts emailed to you as Ted described in his comment). To set items to "Claimed" status, you can use the claim action in the issue record or on the claim alert list.
We will be adding more serials claiming options to Leap in Polaris 7.6, which may help to make some of these workflows more apparent in the UI.

If this is about the list of status inside the issue record & displays at the check-in screen it will change to claim when it reaches the claim criteria entered.
We mediate claims in Polaris. We set when expected arrival day in our publication pattern and if they don't arrive by the date I have the claims set to email to myself in the vendor record and not our CSR so I can verify before sending. If an issue was sent to claim it does have that status at the check-in screen in.

Just to confirm, is this about the list of statuses available inside the issue record for expected issues?
If so, Pending Claim and Claimed are not included at this time because those statuses are tied to the serials claiming workflows in Polaris. As in, only the claim action can move an issue to claimed status.
I'm not sure how widely used the claiming feature of serials is used. Maybe this enhancement is appropriate for libraries who are not claiming within Polaris. Could folks comment on how they claim serials?
