Our librarians have a need to limit by a particular collection or call number, either by including the call number in the keyword search or by adding an advanced search option that includes a call number index. This would be especially helpful for our children's librarians that get patron requests for a subject like horses in our Beginning to Read collection (as opposed to our Board book collection, or Picture book collection).

This would be amazing. When I am checking our catalog for already purchased items, I would like to be able to limit by specific call numbers for my sections.

We have an extensive homeschool collection that is in high demand. Currently (in Encore), the only way to get a list of everything in that collection is by searching by call number (HRC). Obviously, it's very helpful for our patrons to see a comprehensive list of what we own, and I don't know of another way to do that.

Call number could be the only way to search certain materials like ON ORDER items. There is not a way to search item status.

We put the call number in the bib record vs. item, so as long as that is included. Call number searching is a regular request by our power users and staff members.
