Facet Navigation and Display Improvements
Improve Facet display by better utilizing space in Refinement Panel and utilizing word wrapping when necessary to display full facet value.
In All Facet view display data in a single column of scrollable data and utilize word wrapping when necessary to display full facet value.
For Limited Value facets such has: format, location, collection, age group, language, donor; allow the full facet content to display in the refine panel when expanded and in all facet view by adding scroll.
For larger value facets such as concepts, persons, publishers; enable a Load XX more <facet> button in the All Facet View to allow users to view more information without searching.
In All Facet View, upon open, display Search <facet> help text as well as place cursor in search box.
In the Mobile responsive views that collapse the refinement panel by default, when in Advanced Search Mode, add the 'refine results' panel open toggle to the top left above the instructional text on the landing page.
Remove the Apply Step when selecting facets globally for all Vega searches.
Add a setting that modifies the Location Facet by floating the 'home location' to the top of the facet list. Use Patron home if authenticated patron. Use preferred locations if kiosk or collection site.

We are a large consortia and our locations should be listed in alphabetical order to provide consistency. Additionally, sorting facets by record count is obscuring important options for my patrons.

NCFL agrees with other comments made by small libraries, namely : Our patrons will struggle to find the correct library unless they are listed alphabetically. My library is smaller than some and does not show up in the facet list.

Our library is 1 out of 66 libraries within our consortia. It is imperative that facets function correctly and efficiently, especially when it comes to choosing which library's items a patron is looking for. The best way to facilitate this is to list all available locations in alphabetical order, regardless of how big or small the library is.

We are a large consortia with some larger libraries and many smaller ones. Sorting facets by record count makes it difficult for patrons in smaller libraries to find resources within their own library site. Sorting locations in alphabetical order will provide consistency.

Patrons will expect and understand an alphabetical listing, making it easier for them to find what they want. Also, our branch library is one of the smallest in a system of over 65 libraries but deserves to be consistently represented.

My library collection is smaller than some and is not showing in the facet list. Since we're in a large consortia and our locations should be listed in alphabetical order to provide consistency. Sorting facets by record count is obscuring important options for my patrons, especially since we are one of the smaller libraries in our consortia.

Making it possible for library users to sort the locations alphabetically will greater improve my library's patrons' user experience of Vega. Ours is a small collection compared to many in our County and library system, allowing for the facets to appear in alphabetical order will get our patrons the information they want much more easily.

Although we are not a consortium, and the location facet limits do not affect us, we would still like to see improvements to the display of facets that have a large number of values (more than the 24 limit) such as concepts. forcing public library users to search for subject headings/concepts is unrealistic, as it is unlikely that they know the structure of the concept labels to accurately perform a search in the facet panel

Alphabetical organization of our various libraries is the only consistent way to provide this useful filter to our patrons.

As many of the previous comments mention, it is definitely important in our large consortia for patrons to be able to easily view and navigate all locations using the locations facet.

We are part of a large consortia. We need to be all to show all values in alphabetical order. This is critically important to the locations, which is the patron’s local library and with whom they are familiar. They need to be able to find their library.
Attached is an image of what it currently looks like. We have 70 locations, but only 24 displays. It is unclear that you can search for and find items (locations) that are not displayed on the scrolling list. They are ordered by the number of items, which again is not intuitive or useful for the location.
