Move Overdrive Magazine API higher on the development list
Magazines borrowed directly from Overdrive show the confusing resource for title result instead of the magazine issue itself. An extra step of Get Issue is required to show the issue. This appears to be covered under the Vega Product portal - Overdrive Magazines. However that is listed under the Later category. Monarch is asking if this could be expedited due to the confusion it is causing to staff and patrons.
Released July 18, 2024.

This issue needs to be addressed. Our patrons don't want to use a service that is confusing or difficult to use. This will create frustration for both patrons and staff.

This problem must get fixed to avoid patron confusion. The current display of Overdrive serials is unacceptable and will result in patrons calling our service desks wondering what has been checked out to their accounts.

This feature needs to be fixed. We want to provide a service that allows our patrons to search for specific copies of magazines. It makes no sense to offer a new product that will frustrate them and us.

Making the catalog as useful to the patrons as possible is essential to our work. When it comes to magazines, the patrons need to be able to find the specific issue that they want. We don't want them going away frustrated.

The reason for getting Vega Discover is that it makes it easier for users to discover the resources. But when it comes to finding out about their magazines, without this enhancement, patrons will experience confusion and frustration--the very opposite of what we had hoped for when going with Vega Discover! Very few patrons understand the difference between one resource and the next--they expect to see what is available and they have checked out, and this enhancement is direly needed for them to be able to do that!

We need patrons to be able to identify their checkouts at a glance. The list of numbers and letters is meaningless to patrons (and to us) without research and many clicks.

There is no benefit to offering a service patrons will not use because the service is challenging.

It is imperative to offer our patrons a pristine bookshelf. Digging around the page to identify these items is very difficult. The current display will generate negative comments from the public. Please escalate immediately.

The current display is incredibly confusing for users and references a resource not being available - when it *is* available. Implementing this functionality as soon as possible will significantly improve the user experience and avoid possible confusion and frustration.
