bulk registration for recurring events
We have recurring events. We'd like to register patrons for all recurring events with one registration (similar to what you can do with sessions).
(If we use sessions, we can register a patron for all sessions at once BUT we can't enter stats until all of the sessions are over.
If we use recurring events, we can enter stats when the event is over, BUT we can't for registration for all events.)1 vote -
Statistics on demographic data
The libraries in a cooperative would find it valuable to get demographic data on who is registering for events. If the person registering for a program is an existing library patron and Vega Program is connecting over to Polaris/Sierra to validate anyway, it ought to be possible to grab demographic data to report on.
It would also be helpful to get data on people who register for programs but don't have a library account. There could be an "opt-in" checkbox on the registration form to facilitate communicating through Vega Promote campaigns.1 vote -
Statistics on app vs. website registration
There is an option in the search results to see Number of Views and "App views" of programs. Can this be expanded so that staff can get data on event registration via website vs Vega Mobile app?

Notification of registration
Expansion of the submitted idea: "Option for library staff to get email notification when patrons register for events"
Staff would like to be notified when patrons select the "Remind me" button and enter their email address for events that do NOT require registration. Even though the event doesn't require registration, it is helpful in planning to see how many people have expressed interest.

Include Cancellation as Action Item in Audit Logs
It seems like the "event_cancelled" action only appears in the audit log if there are people already booked into the program.
It is definitely useful for us to know the date, time, and staff member cancelling an event, even if there is no registration.
"Uncancelling" does appear in the audit log for an event without registration.

Add/remove categories for sort/filter
On all pages, but especially the approval/publishing page, we'd like to be able to add or remove columns for categories (like age groups) so we can sort/filter by what we would like.

Enable Guest Feedback After Program
Currently, only registered members receive the follow-up email with the program feedback form. Please enable the template to also be sent to guest registrants so their feedback can be collected as well.

Events and Equipment
When we book a room, we can also book equipment.
When we create an event, we can book a room, but not reserve equipment, that has to be done separately. We have parent/child rooms. That means that if staff does not book chairs, they may end up with none. It will mean staff have to do twice as much work to make sure they have the equipment that they need.
Please tie in equipment bookings to the Events calendar, so staff can book everything at once.1 vote -
Granular permissions for the Equipment booking
Libraries are interested in using equipment booking for their maker space as well as the equipment used in a room. Those are different staff members jobs. It would be great if the library can set the permission based on the category of the equipment.

Equipment Booking Notifications
Send one or more staff email addresses a notification when specific equipment is booked for example, equipment in a Makerspace. Currently staff have to constantly check Program's equipment requests for bookings for their items .

You'll be able to schedule a report to be sent to specific staff for equipment. You could schedule reports to be sent multiple times a day.

Announcement Header
Can we get an announcement header like Vega Discover has for Program? It would be useful if patrons can see our holiday closing message or emergency announcements if they are in Program.

Option to Auto Waitlist a Program
We'd like the option to be able to choose to send all registrants straight to waitlist with no bookings allowed on patron level. Then, like the current waitlist, we can manually add them to the registration when we open it up.

Add an icon showing when a room is booked in addition to the colors. Maybe a circle with a slash through it.

Create Visible (But Unbookable) Rooms
A member library wants to create rooms that are viewable by patrons, but which they cannot reserve.
Right now, the only way we can accomplish this is to remove all availability from a room. But that isn't ideal, not least because (a) it gives patrons no idea of when the room might be in use, as well as cluttering up the , and (b) if staff want to manually book it for patrons on the back-end, they must click through repeated warnings.
This appears to be included as part of another idea (https://ideas.iii.com/forums/951976-vega-program/suggestions/49834827-add-option-for-other-location-visibility-on-back-e), but not addressed there.

categories
When you click on the STATS page and you scroll down to see the branch stats, it would be nice to be able to click on each category and have it further break down to list each program you did in that category and the attendance there.
We are using private categories and cannot even see those categories on our excel report, so if we could click on a category from that view and have it open one level further to list our programs, it would also be a quick way to check and make sure a branch has all…2 votes -
Room selections in booking search
When you view location options in the Check Availability tab, you have the option to select whole locations (checking the location box, and all the rooms are selected from that location). In the Booking Search tab, all the rooms are just separate, and there's not a way to pick a location and have all the rooms selected at once. A minor concern, but if there's a way to make those dropdowns the same, that would be awesome.

Templates save booking settings
It would be great if templates saved the bookings setting. Right now, all our templates default to "Bookings required" even if they were created or even updated to say "No bookings required." It's an extra step to remember to turn this setting off when using templates.

Unpublish events still in the pending approval stage
Because drafts do not hold rooms, the workaround suggested to us was to leave events in the pending approval stage if they are still drafts by clicking "Submit" instead of "Publish." We now have a long list of pending events that include both drafts and events ready to be reviewed for the calendar. It would be helpful to our staff to be able to "un-approve" events if they are accidentally published instead of submitted.

Show Event's Categories on Page
It would be nice if on an individual event page, it displayed the category/categories the event belongs to. We have age categories for all of our events, but when we link to the event it's hard to tell what age it's for at a glance.
