Limit Bookings Across Rooms Within a Time Period
Several libraries in our consortium have multiple study rooms. They want to limit patrons to a single 'study room' booking across all of their study rooms for a given time period (e.g. Jane Doe can only book a single study room each day, but the next day she can book a room again, etc.).
Currently, they can limit bookings for an individual room, but the patron can just sign up for another room later that day (and go through them all in turn). I guess staff can monitor and delete duplicate bookings, and dedicated patrons will undoubtedly find other workarounds.

Add date filter/calendar to search results
It would be helpful to patrons if a calendar for selecting a date range appeared on the search results page. Many times patrons aren't searching for the next available program, they want to know what's happening next week or however far in advance. This could be either a relative filter (ie, 'next week', 'this week', 'next month', 'this month') or specific dates you could pick on the calendar. (Or both?)
It would also be helpful if filtering down those search results by date let us link back to them! For example, so we could do a search for all storytimes…

Blacklist for Problem Patrons
We need a way to block problem patrons from being able to reserve rooms. It can either be a blacklist where we add the patron barcode or have Vega Program look at the MBlock in Sierra or the Polaris equivalent and deny that way.

Make an actual end time in the event entry area instead of hours/duration
Could you make it so you can put an end time in the end time field when you're entering an event? Or at least make more options than a four hour limit? Putting in custom minutes for events that are longer than that isn't very appealing. Thanks for considering!

Send Reminders to Enter Program Attendance
I know it's a long shot, but it would be incredibly helpful if there was a way to send a reminder email if program attendance hasn't been entered by a certain time period (i.e. a week after the program occurred), as staff often forget to enter attendance after events and we spend a lot of time trying to track down these errant stats.

Notify Selected Staff of Room Booking Cancellations
It would be great to be able to set certain staff to be notified when a patron cancels a room reservation.

Allow for alternate registration limitation in Vega Program
In addition to the age limits for Program Registration, it would be helpful to be able to limit by grade.
While age is a useful limit for early learning programs, many school age programs are limited by grade range. The option to select limit by grade, and then define the grades that can register, would help libraries when determining who can register for a program. Currently, libraries have to determine the age for the program based on the school registration birthday cut off, and that may not accurately reflect who is eligible to register. This causes confusion and friction for…13 votesAs a workaround, you can create a custom question template to collect the grades of attendees or confirm they are in a specific grade.

Email contact person when event registration is full
We have staff that would like to be alerted when an event has no registration spots remaining–event is full. It allows staff to determine if additional spots can be added, sometimes by a change of location or meeting space. An email alert to the event contact would be a great heads up without staff having to self monitor the registration list. (Especially with decentralized programming efforts (virtual and in-person) occurring for numerous programs a month.

Enable/Disable Event Feedback Emails by Program + More Options for Post-Event Feedback Emails
We would like to request enhanced flexibility in how post-event feedback and follow-up emails are managed in Vega Program. We value collecting patron feedback, but not every event is appropriate or necessary for post-event surveys or emails. In addition, our surveys are customized by age group, and the current template email is too general/broad.
It would be ideal to have the ability to enable or disable post-event emails and/or feedback on a per-event basis, ideally with a simple checkbox when creating or editing an event (for example, “Send post-event email / feedback survey”. This would allow staff to selectively gather…

Limit patron registration
It would be really nice if Vega Program would prevent a patron from registering for multiple events occurring at the same time, since they cannot possibly attend more than one at a time. An alert - via email, text (when available), or pop-up that either 1) the registration cannot be completed because they are registered for another event or 2) offer to cancel their existing registration and complete the current one.

Event Approval Problem
Our workflow is this: librarians create events. Managers approve events. Admins publish the events. The problem lies in the approval process: Everything that's approved/ready to post goes to one big list. We host hundreds of events, so if we could filter by manager or building, that would be a huge enhancement. Another shortcoming is that the Admins have no way of knowing if the managers have approved their events. A three-step process for (1) creating; (2) approving (with a checkmark or something); and (3) publishing events would also be an enormous improvement.

Add Name to Waitlist
It would significantly both the patron and the programmer experience if patrons could enter their name when they sign up for the waitlist. Programmers often don't know who is associated with an email, and sometimes we have to know the names. Additionally, patrons find the waitlist confusing without entering their name.

no show
We'd like the ability to mark meeting/study room bookings as "no shows" when people do not show up for their reservation and pull a report on them (by name, date, location, etc.)

Show Event's Categories on Page
It would be nice if on an individual event page, it displayed the category/categories the event belongs to. We have age categories for all of our events, but when we link to the event it's hard to tell what age it's for at a glance.
If we use the Min-Max age feature when creating an event, which displays the recommended age beautifully, it also adds an undesirable required question where the registrant has to tell us their age when they sign up - confusing for parents who are bringing their kid to a story time with an age range of…

Option to indicate interest without registering
Programs like Facebook allow the user to indicate interest in an event without registering. Would be a nice feature to have in Program Registration. The library could gauge interest in a program that does not require registration for planning purposes. The patron could get the reminders about the event.
