Staff Side: Search by group name
Add an option in room bookings to search by the group/organization name. Frequently multiple patrons will do a booking for the same group/organization and it would be helpful to be able to view and track a group's/organization's bookings.

Add date filter/calendar to search results
It would be helpful to patrons if a calendar for selecting a date range appeared on the search results page. Many times patrons aren't searching for the next available program, they want to know what's happening next week or however far in advance. This could be either a relative filter (ie, 'next week', 'this week', 'next month', 'this month') or specific dates you could pick on the calendar. (Or both?)
It would also be helpful if filtering down those search results by date let us link back to them! For example, so we could do a search for all storytimes…

Add Email Customization Templates for Languages
Libraries should be able to modify email templates for the languages they offer to their patrons.
As a patron, Program should detect the browser language to determine which language template to use.
For example, a patron with the browser set to German who registers for an event gets emails from the German templates.

Searchable, system-wide logging (emails)
Searchable, system-wide email logging (similar to what is available in LX Starter) so that we can see what emails were sent, received, and opened; as well as to see if patrons are on a do not send list after marking our emails as spam.
Currently, the only way to see if a patron has received emails is to find a specific program that they were in and check the email logs for that program.
If possible to expand this to all logging (which could be filtered) that would be a plus.

bulk registration for recurring events
We have recurring events. We'd like to register patrons for all recurring events with one registration (similar to what you can do with sessions).
(If we use sessions, we can register a patron for all sessions at once BUT we can't enter stats until all of the sessions are over.
If we use recurring events, we can enter stats when the event is over, BUT we can't for registration for all events.)4 votes -
Statistics on demographic data
The libraries in a cooperative would find it valuable to get demographic data on who is registering for events. If the person registering for a program is an existing library patron and Vega Program is connecting over to Polaris/Sierra to validate anyway, it ought to be possible to grab demographic data to report on.
It would also be helpful to get data on people who register for programs but don't have a library account. There could be an "opt-in" checkbox on the registration form to facilitate communicating through Vega Promote campaigns.2 votes -
Statistics on app vs. website registration
There is an option in the search results to see Number of Views and "App views" of programs. Can this be expanded so that staff can get data on event registration via website vs Vega Mobile app?

Include Cancellation as Action Item in Audit Logs
It seems like the "event_cancelled" action only appears in the audit log if there are people already booked into the program.
It is definitely useful for us to know the date, time, and staff member cancelling an event, even if there is no registration.
"Uncancelling" does appear in the audit log for an event without registration.

Add/remove categories for sort/filter
On all pages, but especially the approval/publishing page, we'd like to be able to add or remove columns for categories (like age groups) so we can sort/filter by what we would like.

Granular permissions for the Equipment booking
Libraries are interested in using equipment booking for their maker space as well as the equipment used in a room. Those are different staff members jobs. It would be great if the library can set the permission based on the category of the equipment.

Have Polaris and Vega Program talk to each other so we can pull circulation statistics during hours that programs occur easily.

Option to Auto Waitlist a Program
We'd like the option to be able to choose to send all registrants straight to waitlist with no bookings allowed on patron level. Then, like the current waitlist, we can manually add them to the registration when we open it up.

Add a icon to show when a room is unavailable
Add an icon showing when a room is booked in addition to the colors. Maybe a circle with a slash through it.

categories
When you click on the STATS page and you scroll down to see the branch stats, it would be nice to be able to click on each category and have it further break down to list each program you did in that category and the attendance there.
We are using private categories and cannot even see those categories on our excel report, so if we could click on a category from that view and have it open one level further to list our programs, it would also be a quick way to check and make sure a branch has all…4 votes -
Templates save booking settings
It would be great if templates saved the bookings setting. Right now, all our templates default to "Bookings required" even if they were created or even updated to say "No bookings required." It's an extra step to remember to turn this setting off when using templates.

Show Event's Categories on Page
It would be nice if on an individual event page, it displayed the category/categories the event belongs to. We have age categories for all of our events, but when we link to the event it's hard to tell what age it's for at a glance.
If we use the Min-Max age feature when creating an event, which displays the recommended age beautifully, it also adds an undesirable required question where the registrant has to tell us their age when they sign up - confusing for parents who are bringing their kid to a story time with an age range of…

notify me when registration opens
If registration opens on a certain date in the future, we'd appreciate a "Remind me when registration opens" option, so the interested party would get a notification on the day registration opens to register themselves.

Staff side: Search Events - include an option for ALL under Status
On the Home screen, the Search Events function allows us to limit to a number of status options, but there is no option to search all status types.
Having an "All" option which returns every status type would be beneficial to staff event tracking workflows by allowing them to run a single search for all status types rather than separate searches for "All Approved Events", "Pending Approval", "Cancelled" etc.

Hierarchy for Category Colors
We'd like to use the color coding options, but for events with multiple categories, the color that displays seems to be whichever is first alphabetically. It would be nice to choose which categories take priority or to have a default color and only display a different color for specific categories. It would be most useful for us to have ages as a separate identifier that could be color-coded and have priority.
