Currently, there is an audible cue for when an item is checked in or out. It would be beneficial to have a different audible cue for when an item scanned has blocking notes. See screenshots for specific instances.
This would help prevent accidents when staff aren't actively watching the screen. We've encountered many instances, for over 5 years, when an item checked out has an item block that pops up but staff don't notice so they continue scanning the next item. That next item doesn't get scanned because of the pop up blocking the check out window. Due to our scanners automatically 'pressing' enter, the pop up goes away when the next item is scanned but the item isn't actually scanned or checked out. This is just one instance.
An unhappy beep beep would be beneficial to have an audible cue to staff that the item has an extra step before going to the next item.
