Option to Copy Invoice Price to Item
Our libraries would like a second option regarding the price copied from the order record to the item record. Currently, the option to Default "Copy EPRICE to item" is available, but if the library wants to use the actual price from the invoice, they have to input the price manually. If there were the second option in the login settings: to "Copy Invoice Price to item," this would allow staff to use the actual price and the convenience of this shortcut to reduce the amount of time it takes to create item records. We envision this as an option in the login: Copy EPRICE to Item or Copy Invoice Price to Item (requiring the library to invoice before creating items). The paid note in the order record includes the AMT.
Idea Value
Provided the library invoices before creating item records; this option would allow libraries to use the paid amount in the item record. If billed, the patron is paying the library the actual item cost. It would also enhance the item creation workflow by automating the item price from the paid note in the order record. Making this an option default in the login allows libraries to choose either the eprice or invoice price and still utilize this setting to minimize workflow disruptions.

Interesting idea. My question is how would the system know which item to copy the price to? Maybe it would give you a list of the .i numbers and allow you to choose.
