Ability to view history for item and volume records.
It would be helpful for us to have access to the history of item and volume records, including details of their creation and any subsequent edits. This would improve our ability to track changes and ensure accountability if any issues come up.

This should be an Opt In|Out or have a way to limit the depth of the histories. With larger libraries this could have data storage implications. My library has more than 7 million volumes and there are a number of reasons why an item might be edited multiple times over its life time. (Transfers, call number updates, local notes...)

We recently had several items deleted from the system and there was no way to see who deleted the items. Having a history report for items similar to that of bibs would be helpful. Especially if it can be accessed after an item is deleted.
