I just had a customer who made the observation, that she would have expected the Expiry date of membership to be visible in the App
She did not necessarily want all her personal details available via the app, but thought that expiry date would keep the need to renew front and center.

This is a useful idea so that patrons can have uninterrupted access to library resources. Many of our patrons only use online/ mobile services, and would otherwise not be aware that their card is close to expiring. This would eliminate the frustration of a patron finding out their card has expired by being denied access to library materials.

Many of our patrons only use our Mobile App and never look at their physical library card. Having the expiration date listed on both the "My Account" and "My Barcode" pages of the app would help both patrons and staff know when an account is due to expire. Patrons can lose access to several library sources or services with an expired library card. Including the expiration date in the Mobile App could be an easy fix to this problem.

We also had a request for the Library Card Expiration date to be displayed on the My Account and the My Barcode pages of the App. Patrons can access this information in their online accounts through WebPAC, Encore, and Vega. By incorporating the expiration date into the mobile app interface, we empower users to manage their library accounts more proactively and ensure uninterrupted access to library resources.

I think this is a great idea - our patrons are always getting jumpscared by their expiration dates. A notification in the app when your date is getting close could go nicely with this.
