I think this should be optional for each system. Some messages are geared at staff to relay to the patron, not have the patron see it.

I would like to allow our marketing person to handle the Vega Homepage, with her own login/access which is limited to just the Home page, not all the other admin features. That goes against all of our security principles. Much like LX Starter allows for that (separate admin portal); otherwise, she should get a login and only see Home page. Not log in with my admin account which was suggested (!). We need some more granularity. Not at the level of Sierra obviously, but something beyond Admin vs. Staff.

I'm thinking a use case would be when staff forgets to check the "do not clear" for bills and then something goes wrong (printer issue or whatever), and they have to run a list to recreate those lost bills.

In Sierra we assign what version of a courtesy notice goes out, depending on the loan rule. For example, if an item is not renewable, the text says so, that it has to be returned. If it IS renewable (different loan rule), then the text tells them to return or to renew, provides a link to log in and renew. I can see having a different notice for something that checks out hourly vs. regular loan period, etc.
