We would love to see Discover offer patron registration. We'd also love if it were customizable in ways that allow it to work for different libraries' needs as well as the unique patron fields in both Polaris and Sierra (for instance, Polaris pacreg allows patrons to create a username and allows us optionally include or exclude UDFs, etc.).

We would be very interested in this feature. Our home-brewed solution is also difficult to maintain and update. Vega Discover already has the author information available through Syndetics. The combination of Discover, Syndetics, and automated alerts and/or holds for new titles by favorite authors and other "persons" would be a tremendous selling point.

We have many patrons asking about being able to see when their holds will unfreeze, especially considering that they are accustomed to having the ability in the Polaris PAC.
Our most recent report comes from a very high-volume user who places many holds for pickup on the Bookmobile (where browsing selection is limited). He says he is having a hard time tracking and remembering what "freeze" date he has initially set on the holds he places. Like many other patrons, he'd like to see that date displayed on his account so he can better manage the flow of incoming holds.

It would be great to allow users to be able to toggle the view so that there is a simple compact list option as well as the current more eye-catching view. I was surprised at how many patrons have commented about having to scroll through their long lists when we launched Discover. I remember hearing the same complaints when the Polaris PAC first started displaying cover images, but we had the ability to add a compact display toggle ourselves in the PAC.
Edit to add that many of these patron comments have revolved around having to scroll through many titles. A more recent comment requests a list view of the reading history.
