commentedWe would love to see Discover offer patron registration. We'd also love if it were customizable in ways that allow it to work for different libraries' needs as well as the unique patron fields in both Polaris and Sierra (for instance, Polaris pacreg allows patrons to create a username and allows us optionally include or exclude UDFs, etc.).

commentedAt a minimum, allow the option for a “custom patron registration link” so that we can point to PowerPAC for now (or to another registration page depending on what the library wants)…. Having no link whatsoever in the patron login area isn’t a good user experience.

commentedOur patrons currently get directed to the PowerPac to register. This is not ideal and a workflow for online registration in Discover would be much more patron friendly. One that would allow us to modify fields and add our own Welcome message.

commentedYes, we don't want them to have to pop over to PowerPac just to sign up/register. There's great potential here to make an even friendlier work flow for sign up right from the "My Bookshelf" next to "Sign In" by having a "Sign Up for a Library Card" option.

commentedIt is important to provide this service and meet our patrons where they are at rather than creating unnecessary roadblocks to Library materials.

commentedThe ability for users to register online became very important a few years ago, and more and more libraries are relying on it.
