Granular permissions are another minimum requirement for us to consider a vendor's product. We have very granular permissions on our setup and would not be interested in going back to only two levels.

We would want such a feature to be toggle-able. Laws in our jurisdiction would allow this for children under 14 but minors 14 and over are allowed privacy from their parents in terms of what they check out (and they can get a library card on their own). So a blanket feature would be against the law here.
