  1. We would like the ability to modify the description of the Item Record History Actions when it comes to renewals. Currently, when a renewal happens in the app, it lists it as "Renewal - third party software" which confused our library staff. We were told that is the wording for anything renewed via the Polaris API, but since (for now) the only thing we have renewing that way is the app, we'd like to change the wording to say "Renewal - Mobile App" so it's clearer for staff.   4. When an item record set is viewed on a tablet or mobile device in Leap, the record set layout changes to accommodate the change in screen size. This includes the Shelf Location column no longer displaying. Staff create item record sets for displays and when they go out into the stacks with Leap on a tablet to pull the items, not having the Shelf Location included slows them down as they have to open the item records individually.

  5. I regularly have need to provide a list of items to partner organizations. This would be most easily accomplished by simply exporting the data from an existing record set to excel. I have also recently had need for an export option from a Patron Record set. Export is currently an option for Bib Record Sets and I am hoping it can be added for Patron and Item as well.

  6. In addition to Single Sign-On (SSO) support for Microsoft Azure and ADFS, please consider support for Google Workspace. We recently migrated all of our email for our consortium (42 members) to Google and would greatly benefit from the ability to use the already signed-in information to authenticate into Leap. See screenshots for a design/concept mock-up.

  8. I would like to see a history of all holds on a bib record kept with the date of activation, not just those that were cancelled. I use this information to adjust how many copies of popular authors to pre-buy by looking at how many holds were placed on an author's previous released title(s) prior to release date.

  10. We would like to be able to have more options for configuring the Hold Pickup Slip. Our current hold pickup slip is printed using an older piece of Bibliotheca RFID software that is no longer supported. The software allows us to configure the position, orientation and font size of each element on the hold slip. We are also able to select the number of characters to print for each of those elements, for example, first 3 characters of the last name, first character of the first name, etc.

  11. At times our vendors send us a substitution for the item we ordered. It would be helpful to be able to change the dollar amount in the POLI when this happens so that the encumbered funds accurately reflect what is on order.

  13. Allow POLIs and INVLIs to be moved by staff with the correct permissions to a different bib than they were ordered on.

    We regularly order something that the vendor record matches to an ISBN in our catalog - sometimes this is because we have multiple ISBNs on a bib but the record is for a particular version, sometimes (mostly with AV) it is because the UPC has not been assigned as unique (rated and unrated versions, for example).

  14. Currently the default option is to charge the patron when doing a damaged item check-in (see screenshot). We would like the default to either be changed to NOT charge the patron, or we would like to be given the option to choose the default ourselves so we can change it to what we want just for our consortium.

Currently, when a patron selects a library for a hold in the PAC and Pickup Areas are enabled, the default option is "None" which might not make as much sense to them, and they might think they have to select one of the other options (if there are any). Can "None" be changed to something more intuitive like "Walk-in" or "Inside" or "Regular"?

  18. We would like there to be an option to add a note when resolving lost item charges, processing fees, and overdue fees when checking in a Lost item. Currently, if we want to add a note when waiving processing fees or overdue fees, we have to first charge the fees, then go to the patron record and waive from there after the fact, just so we can add the notes. It would be much easier if we could add the notes right on the screen that pops up (see screenshot).

  19. We think it would be helpful for patrons to see Waiver Requests as "Submitted" or "Pending", "Approved", and "Denied" for better understanding. See screenshot which illustrates the lack of that detail now.

  20. In Polaris, a single delete of a bib/item record will result in that record being 'marked for deletion.' It is no longer visible in the PAC, but is still visible in Polaris with a Deleted status. Deleting a record in Deleted status, or what we've termed 'double-delete,' will result in the record being fully purged from the database.

    Sometimes, staff will delete a record and go back to it to verify the deletion. They see it's still visible in Polaris (missing the Deleted status) and delete it a second time. This accidental purging results in no longer being able to…
